There are a lot of RARE & GREAT items sold at Yahoo Japan Auctions (YJA) with very reasonable prices.

But the problem is, most Japanese sellers on Yahoo Japan Auction will not ship internationally 　- simply because they do not understand English and will not know how to deal with international buyers.

Yahoo Japan Auction does not have a convenient system such as Paypal where you can send the payment by paypal and the seller will automatically get the information of payment & shipping address of the buyer after you make the payment.

If you win an item from Yahoo Japan Auctions, all transaction will be done via e-mails and payments are usually done by wire transfer (via bank) only. Therefore you will need to have a bank account here and be able to understand Japanese - which can be a very rare thing!

So here is Spence… to help you all out!

Here are the terms:

-1500 yen (approximately US$16, rate: US$1 = 85 yen) commission per auction for items less than 10,000 yen.

- 7% commission (PayPal 4% inclusive) on winning price per auction. For our repeat customers, we will reduce our commission %.

- You will have to send me the URL/ link / Auction ID of the auction item you would like me to bid with your maximum bidding price. (Sign up and real time bidding by yourself will be coming soon. The website is under-construction now)

- I will require deposit of 100% of your maximum bidding price for an item and if you wish to bid on more items, the initial 100% deposit covers the rest till the end of all auctions when the total cost of all will be calculated..

- Bids will be placed immediately we receive deposit from you and once the bids are placed, it cannot be canceled.

- Your total payment will be: winning price + all domestic & international s&h charges + 7% on total.

　　　　 ***domestic shipping &handling fee: I will charge a fixed bank transfer fee to seller (350 yen).

　　 ***Please note: For all first timers, If we do not win the auction, I will refund your 100% deposit immediately or a day after. (do not charge any fee for auctions i did not win.)

- Payment is expected to be made within a week after I inform you the total or from the next purchases

- We only except payment by PAYPAL, preferred in Japanese YEN. If you cannot send the payment in YEN, we also accept US$ but the conversion rate US$ - YEN will be according to paypal rate (the rate is usually 3 points lower than the normal rate).

- Item will be shipped after all payment is received including the shipping cost and importantly depends on the time of receive of item from all sellers.

FAQs

Q) What are the shipping options?

A) I offer 4 shipping options :

1. EMS (Express Mail Service), 3 days - 1 week delivery. Insured & Trackable.

2. Airmail, 1 - 2 weeks delivery.

3. SAL, 2 - 3 weeks delivery.

　****Note for AIRMAIL & SAL shipping :

　　　 - for a small box i will use the SMALL PACKET service which is cheap but it will 　　NOT be insured 　& NOT trackable.

　　 - for a big box, I will use the EMS International Post service which will be insured & trackable.

　　　 - depending on the box size & weight - sometimes EMS will be cheaper.

4. Surface, 6 - 8 weeks delivery. Insured & Trackable.

*** I usually ship in 24 hours - 48 hours after I receive your payment (except for weekends - if i receive your payment on Friday, the items will be shipped on Monday). we usually ship very fast!!

Q) Is Airmail or SAL shipping safe?

A) It is relatively safe, but there is no guarantee. If you choose Airmail or SAL shipping and the package gets lost or damaged, we will not be able to hold any responsibility. For your reference, we have shipped many boxes to overseas since i have started　 bid service from April 2006 (approximately over 100 boxes per month, more than half has been shipped by Airmail or SAL), until now there is no loss of items on transit recorded:

If the box gets returned you will have to pay for the shipping cost again in order to have it shipped to you again.

Q) If I buy multiple items from different sellers, will you ship everything all at once to me?

A) Yes, i will hold the items until everything arrives and ship them together so you can save on the shipping cost. And i do not charge any extra fee for holding the shipment.

Q) Could you please quote the total payment amount including all your fees?

A) I will only be able to quote the approximate total since the shipping & handling cost will depend on the size & weight of package and unless I have the items with me, I will not be able to quote you the exact total including shipping to your location in the world, but I will have a little bit clue. Also, usually for the domestic shipping &handling fee, if it is not stated in the auction page, i will only be able to know after i have purchased/won 　it.

Q) Is your price cheaper than other companies who offer bidding service on Yahoo Japan auctions ?

A) I wouldn’t say yes, but it is competitive at the moment, I think I am one of the lowest if not the lowest!

Q) If I buy several items from the same seller, will you count your commission as one?

A) My commission will be per auction and not per seller, so for example if you buy 3 items from the same seller our commission will be 1500 yen x 3. If the items are bought during the same/within a close period or time (2 - 3 days), I 　will ask the seller to ship the items all at once so you can save on the domestic s & h cost.

Q) Do you translate the auction page?

A) Yes I do translate but there are very many ways to translate for yourself. You can use google translate ,altavisa,or Yahoo Babel fish which is very good. if you have any questions regarding the item, please feel free to ask, i will do my best to answer you according to what is written in the auction page. I do not ask seller for price negotiation. I 　usually check the auctions before i place the bids for any damages or missing parts so in some cases we might let you know and ask for your confirmation again to bid - unless you say that it is not necessary!
